in beautiful Fort Bragg, California,
home of the highest concentration of sea glass in the world!

Glass Beach Jewelry's
Sea Glass Gallery and Museum
,
A proud member of the
North American Sea Glass Association,
Is happy to announce its
Second Annual Fort Bragg Sea Glass Festival
Memorial Day weekend, 5/29-31/2010!

Fort Bragg, California, is located in the majestic Redwoods on the glorious north coast of California. A unique place, where the rock formations set up wave patterns that keep everything on its beautiful beaches, historic Fort Bragg is home to the highest concentration of sea glass in the world and its glistening glass beaches are world famous!

Sea Glass enthusiasts, craftspersons, jewelers, and artists come to Fort Bragg from all over the world to collect it's precious gems.
Please do not be deterred by rumors that sea glass collecting is forbidden here. It is perfectly legal. Visitors are asked to be selective, however, leaving "un-ripe" and chipped glass where they find it.

Come join us!
It's Sea Glass Fun For Everyone!

WHEN:

Saturday, 5/29/2010, 10 AM to 6 PM
Sunday, 5/30/2010, 10 AM to 6 PM
Monday, 5/31/2010, 10 AM to 5 PM

Please note: Vendors have a two day minimum attendance. It is strongly suggested out-of-town vendors make plans that allow for collecting time either before or after the festival. You will kick yourself later if you don't. ;-)

WHERE:

Our first festival was on the museum grounds. This year the wonderful people at Century 21 Real Estate, Paul and Barbara Clark, have offered the Farmers' Market site, at 801 North Main Street, just around the corner from our world famous "Glass Beach". This is an open air festival. As our motels and campgrounds fill over Memorial Day weekend with people flocking to our beaches to kick off the summer, the venue has fantastic exposure. Everyone going to and from Glass Beach, or just driving through town, must drive right by in a 25 MPH zone, and there is ample street parking for all as the venue occupies a corner lot.

HOW:

Vendors should Email Capt. Cass Forrington for more information.

THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS 2/28/2010
Late registrations will probably be accepted, depending on space availability, but a late registration penalty of 20-25% will be applied.

LODGING:

Fort Bragg and the surrounding areas have numerous hotels, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds, both private and state. Because of the state budget crisis, state campgrounds might not be available for the festival. Please note that Memorial Day is a big weekend here and reservations should be made early.

TOURISM:

Fort Bragg and Mendocino County are very popular tourist destinations. People come for the fantastic redwoods, beautiful beaches, local wineries and breweries, famous "Skunk Train", and much more besides sea glass!
Numerous movies and commercials have been made here because of the area's natural beauty and charm, (you've had glimpses of it already), and numerous TV programs have been done on Glass Beach alone.
